Inside the cabin (#4), you'll find some Mysterious Notes on the floor, and they'll indicate that the werewolf is Niellen. You'll spot more evidence of the werewolf, and it will lead you to an isolated cabin to the northwest. You'll then need to do some more searching with your witcher senses. You'll decide that they must be the work of a werewolf. When you turn on your witcher senses, you'll find claw marks, an eviscerated dog, and a dead woman - possibly Hanna - in the area. If you reject Margrit's deal, then you'll need to continue with your search. If you accept Margrit's deal, then you'll earn 55 crowns and 80 xp at the end of your conversation with her, plus 10 crowns and 50 xp (if you accept payment) or just 30 xp (if you refuse payment) when you return to Niellen. This will give you a shortcut to complete the quest, should you want it. She'll offer to pay you if you just return to Niellen and tell him that Hanna is dead. When you enter to the woods (#3), you'll get attacked by a group of wolves, and then Margrit will show up. So you'll need to head into the woods northwest of Blackbough to begin your search. Glenna will speculate that Hanna must have gone into the woods and gotten eaten by wolves, and the blacksmith's children will tell you that they saw her go into the woods with another woman. They'll also suggest that you talk to her friends in the village. They'll tell you that Hanna has been gone for five days, and that nobody saw her leave, which means she probably left at night. To find out more about the disappearance, you should talk to Niellen and Hanna's sister Margrit in Blackbough to the southwest (#2). You'll receive this quest from the "Missing Wife" note attached to the notice board at the Crossroads inįrom the note, you'll learn that Niellen's wife Hanna is missing. Because all guest virtual machines use the same hardware drivers irrespective of the actual hardware on the host computer, virtual machine instances are highly portable between computers. Each virtual machine thus operates identically to a standalone computer, with virtually all the resources of a physical computer. Parallels Desktop for Mac is a hardware emulation virtualization software, using hypervisor technology that works by mapping the host computer's hardware resources directly to the virtual machine's resources. On January 10, 2007, Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac was awarded “Best in Show” at MacWorld 2007. Parallels agreed: “ Since we've got a great Mac product, we should make it look and sound like a Mac product.”, it was therefore renamed ‘Parallels Desktop for Mac’. This name was not well received within the Mac community, where some felt that the name, particularly the term “workstation,” evoked the aesthetics of a Windows product. Its name initially was ' Parallels Workstation for Mac OS X', which was consistent with the company's corresponding Linux and Windows products. Released on June 15, 2006, it was the first software product to bring mainstream virtualization to Macintosh computers utilizing the Apple–Intel architecture (earlier software products ran PC software in an emulated environment). It is developed by Parallels, since 2018 a subsidiary of Corel. Parallels Desktop for Mac is software providing hardware virtualization for Macintosh computers with Intel processors, and since version 16.5 also for Apple silicon-based Macintosh computers. Save pages and take screenshots of websitesĪlso available for Chrome, TagSpaces for Firefox is of great assistance during research sessions, as it enables you to save the pages that interest you in an organized manner. Thanks to the custom tags, finding specific items is easier, even in a large collection. Last but not least, you can use TagSpaces as a bookmark manager, as it allows you to save the current page as a bookmark.Īll the content you collect with TagSpaces for Firefox can be organized in the TagSpaces desktop application. A snapshot of the visible part of the webpage is saved as a PNG file on your computer, in a location of your choice. Taking a screenshot of the page is the third option. Alternatively, if you only need to capture a part of a page, you must select it and use the “clip selection” tool. TagSpaces for Firefox can save an editable copy of the visited page in HTML format. The third steps allow you to select the action to take. The two following steps are described below. Secondly, you can add multiple customized tags to easily find any entry at a later time. The extension captures the page’s title automatically, but you can easily change it. The first thing you need to do is customize the file title. There are just four steps to take when saving a page. Regardless of your choice, you get to see a preview of the page within the pop-up window. TagSpaces for Firefox captures the main title of the page, allowing you to save either a simplified or a full copy of the HTML file. A popup is displayed, revealing all the available options. Just navigate to the desired page and then click on the TagSpaces icon. You can then start building up your offline bookmark collection with TagSpaces. Installing the extension takes no more than a second and the new TagSpaces icon is visible in the browser’s toolbar. That is where the TagSpaces add-on for Firefox comes in. But if you want to make all the resources available to you at all times, even when the Internet connection is down, it is a good idea to save the pages locally. You might be tempted to save dozens of links for later reading and referencing, usually as browser bookmarks. Working on a project usually requires an extensive online research session to get documentation and learn about the topic. In the meantime, Simon learns of Terri's ruse, and drives to Los Angeles to bring her home. When he does, Jay apologizes, and Terri agrees to finish the song they have been working on for the scholarship contest. Later, finding him drunk, Terri and Denise take Jay to the roof to sober up. Jay pushes Robin away, but Terri runs off in tears, ignoring Jay's insistence that the kiss meant nothing. On one occasion, Robin kisses Jay just as Terri walks in. Jay tries to get Robin to leave him and Terri alone. Robin still harbors feelings for Jay, but he does not reciprocate. Terri also develops a mutual fondness for British songwriter Jay, but she faces competition from Robin Childers, who was with Jay the previous summer. Terri learns a great deal about music but has flashbacks of the car crash. While in the program, Terri makes new friends, including fun-loving DJ Kiwi, quiet pianist Sloane, and talented violinist Denise. Terri arrives in Los Angeles and has a few difficulties: her jacket is stolen, her cab driver is crabby, and initially can't get into the music school. She eventually convinces Terri to go, telling Simon that Terri plans to stay with her aunt Nina in Palm Desert, California for the summer while she actually goes to Los Angeles. However, her mother Frances says that Paul's death is not her fault, and that Paul would have wanted Terri to attend the program. Terri blames herself for Paul's death and decides to quit singing. Terri awakens in the hospital and learns that Paul was killed. On their way home, they are hit by a drunk driver. That night, Terri sneaks Paul out of the house to attend a Three Days Grace concert. At Paul's graduation-day barbecue, he has a fight with Simon and is grounded. Terri is very close to her elder brother Paul, who supports her dream. Her overprotective father Simon, a second-generation restaurateur, disapproves of Terri's plans, wanting her to run the family business. She wants to participate in a music program that could give her a $10,000 scholarship. Terri Fletcher is a Flagstaff, Arizona teenager who dreams of becoming a professional singer. Upon release, the film received negative reviews and was a box-office flop, grossing only $14.8 million on a $15 million budget. 8 gauge wire is rated for 40 amps, and … The rule of thumb that techs will usually go by is that for a 30 amp circuit breaker, 10-gauge wire is the right one to go with. Finally he decided to give Mother Nature a chance to heal him her way. He tried conventional medicines and diets, to no avail. Joe, while hugely successful in business, was much less so in health – at 40 years old he was 100 lbs overweight and taking 7 different meds each day, including steroids for an auto-immune disease called chronic uticaria, and other meds to alleviate what the steroids did to him. The documentary is a true story about a Australian businessman, Joe Cross, taking back control of his weight, health and life by doing nothing more than eliminating processed foods from his diet. We both lost over 30 lbs (18 of it during those first 10 days), felt more energetic than we had in years, and had to buy belts to keep our pants up. We bought a juicer, and went on a juice-only fast. By the end of the movie, I was in complete agreement with him – this documentary was inspiring and we were ready to put that inspiration to good use. Vegan movies are credited by more people as what inspired them to first consider going vegan than anything else - beating out conversations with friends or family, YouTube videos, social media posts, articles/blogs, and books! I'm reminded, in many ways, of the recent launch of Dwarf Fortress on Steam. Couple that with performance issues on high-end rigs (or PCs that simply can't run the game), no at-launch mod support, and a notable price-hike over the original, and many players are suggesting they simply won't make the jump, at least for now. The new graphics are familiar, but offer a welcome sense of modernisation.īut the people judging Kerbal Space Program 2 with the keenest and most important eyes are the people who have thousands of hours in the original, and are now finding the ideas they'd learned to take for granted aren't there anymore. For lapsed players, I think it's a great option - the tutorials offer a solid leg-up, and I was surpassing what I'd achieved before within a few hours. If you had a hankering for astrophysics-as-game-mechanic, you probably have already tried out the original, and bounced on to No Man's Sky if it wasn't for you. For a brand-new player, lifting off for the first time with Kerbal Space Program 2, it might be even longer before those 'missing' features become relevant.īut while I'd be interested to be proved wrong, I don't think too many brand-new players will be flocking to KSP2. As someone returning to the game after a long time, several of those features seem like the kind of thing it might take me weeks of playtime to even notice. In fact, an array of features that were present in the original game aren't available. Want to see your Thrust-to-Weight ratio? That's missing too. Another sticking point is the lack of thermal simulation (protecting your ship from heat from re-entry, engines, or, you know, the Sun), a feature described as a "core facet" of a game like this by one fan. At launch, a popular mode that bridges the gap between sandbox and 'Career' gameplay won't be available. Performance issues are said to be a key focus of the game's early access journey, but a vast swathe of players will be left out at launch as a result of their hardware.ĭelve deeper, and there are worries about what's missing from KSP2. There's no doubt that KSP looks better than its predecessor, but visually it's certainly not up there with the other games I'd expect to need top-end graphics cards just to hit the 'Recommended' settings on. Beyond that are more traditional worries about gameplay, graphical performance has raised several eyebrows, especially since wobbly framerates are coupled with some blistering PC specifications. Dark side of the MunĬonfusion around the development team isn't worth getting into here, but it's something that long-term fans have expressed concern over. And those experts aren't particularly impressed. As much as Kerbal Space Program 2 is a good starting point for new players, with its updated graphics and dedicated tutorial, its real audience is the experts who have spent years with the game already. What I was able to achieve was basic in the early 2010s, little more than a bottle rocket compared to what other members of the community were doing even then deep-space travel, complex docking networks, intricate rescue missions. It wasn't long before I had a full, multi-stage rocket, with enough fine control that, for the first time ever, I reached the Moon.īut crucially, those eyes are untested. A few more attempts, and I was starting to iterate on my early designs, leaning into the trial-and-error and constant learning loop that makes Kerbal Space Program so fascinating. I tried again, and after a few more clumsy attempts, I finally managed to bring my unfortunate Kerbal back to the surface in one piece. After running through its first few steps, I was able to get into what one might consider space, even if I still couldn't break orbit. I was out of my depth, but fortunately Kerbal Space Program 2 comes with a comprehensive tutorial. After a swift rebuild, I did actually make it into the sky, but failed to either clear Earth's Kerbin's gravity or activate my parachute on the way down, marking a rather unceremonious return to sea-level for my command module and the little green Kerbal inside it. For my first attempt at a rocket, I forgot to take advantage of the building mode's symmetry feature, and crashed immediately into the gantry. Kids benefit from going along for the ride. And advertisers would be wise to appeal to her. The pre-motherhood self does not simply evaporate, replaced by the selfless devotion to others and instant knowledge of laundry cycles, sheet pan dinners, and where the extra AA batteries are. In no way does this diminish the role of motherhood in a person’s life. That was made clear in our survey when 9 out of 10 mothers said they wanted to be portrayed in roles other than mom. Motherhood isn’t everything.Įven to moms. Building a family can happen in many ways and acknowledging that is important. Half of adoptive mothers are between 40-44 years old. Glad the little one is 10 and I can move on to the rest of my life now!” Moms of newborns are not all 26.Įven if your brand focuses on the newborn segment, it’s good to remember that over 100k babies are born to women over 40 every year in the United States. Sure, there are moments and phases of waxing and waning intensity-a mother’s sleepless nights can be caused by colic, a party you only vaguely know about, or an upcoming medical school match day-but no one will say, “Whoa, being a mom was rough. But so is the experience of all those other groups. This is not to say that Millennial and Gen Z motherhood isn’t important. Now, Gen Z does get a mention or two, but GenX? Boomers? Not so much. Google how to market to moms and just about everything that comes up is about millennial moms. Here are a few reminders about the motherhood experience for our friends in the marketing departments: You never stop being a mother. Their opinions varied in some cases, but they remained largely united on one topic: advertisers are consistently missing the mark. They were women in lots of different life circumstances. Women of all ethnicities and salary levels. Women who are home with the kids, and women who are the primary earners. The moms were in cities, the suburbs, and the country. These mothers we interviewed spanned all kinds of demographics. This could be because over half of the moms we spoke to said advertisers were getting their motherhood experience wrong. 9 out of 10 mothers would like to see themselves shown in roles other than mom. When Fancy surveyed 500 women over 40 about their feelings concerning advertising and marketing, what they thought advertisers were getting right-and not so right, we made an important discovery. There is more to her thoughts, her emotions, her life, than simply being a mother. By the time a mother is in her forties (no matter how old her kids are), she’s seen a lot and done a lot, and that experience cannot be ignored. You can even specify how you want subtitles to look, right down to colors, fonts, and drop shadows. (One of mine showed up as an option even on different movies several folders away.) Note, however, that IINA can't work similar magic on sites like Netflix or Hulu. IINA blessedly skipped the ads that showed up before YouTube's videos on the web, and it included subtitles when the online video did.
